Slavery’s Traumas Relived

Jeremy Morris and Hope Wright are not your typical actors. These Colonial Williamsburg Foundation interpreters are reinventing the way visitors look at slavery one show at a time. Through a combination of studying slavery and applying their own experiences as African-Americans today, Morris and Wright show audiences what it was like to live as a slave in 18th-century America. With every show, they continue to honor the lives and legacies of African-Americans that came before them.
